The Bare Magazine: you describe your character Isabella’s positive and negative qualities? in what ways does she inspire you?

Lexi Underwood: isabella is a very complex person. there are a lot of positive and negative qualities that in a sense, balance each other out. Isabella is a charmer. shes incredibly confident and alluring, which helps her essentially get what she wants. she puts on this mask/facade that covers all of the negative qualities she hasn't allowed herself to accept. isabella is the daughter of diplomats that never showed up the way she needed them to during her childhood. i believe that makes her cling on to others in sometimes an unhealthy way which only ends up breaking her own heart. i admire her strength & loyalty to continue to show up for those that have wronged her in some way. she's incredibly passionate about being a great friend and i think that's beautiful.

Bare: is there a message/messages you hope the show will convey to the viewer?

LU: one thing each of these characters are doing in the show is taking control of their own destiny. no matter their circumstances, everyone is doing whats best for them. while sometimes it gets a bit messy in the show, it's inspiring. no matter what generation you are, you can relate to these characters, their rights & wrongs.

Bare: what did you love about her style and hair and makeup on the show?

LU: i'm obsessed with everything from the y2k era. it was so fun to immerse myself in that world! my favorites from isabella looks were the low rise jeans, velour tracksuits, purple eyeliner & her super cute blonde highlights. i love when i can play with looks with my characters, i'm grateful the space was given to do that here.

Bare: you recently changed up your hair style it's so cute! as you enter your 20's do you find you're playing with different styles and looks?

LU: i did! i wanted to do switch my look up as i enter my 20's so i cut my hair a bit. i definitely had been thinking about it for a while & one day i just decided it was time! just like with my characters, i love switching up my look and playing around with different styles. i'm really into fashion and am constantly getting inspired.

Bare: would you say having a good lash is part of what makes you feel your best? describe anything else that is helpful in boosting your confidence.

LU: sometimes! i'm definitely a lash extension girl but right now i'm giving my lashes a break. i do love a good lash but it doesn't necessarily boost my confidence any more than having no lashes on does. like i said, i love playing around with looks, one day i'll have long lashes with a beat face the next i'll have only some mascara & concealer on. both make me feel confident!

Bare: did you enjoy exploring different sides of your style/personality at the thrift store?! what was a favorite look?

LU: i loved exploring cure thrift! i love to thrift in my every day life and they had some really dope stuff. my favorite look was the 70s-inspired look for sure. i love everything about that era and the dress matched that vibe perfectly. i had a blast during this shoot!
