So scroll on dowwwwn for more including her self-care goal for 2023.

The Bare Magazine: It was so great to reunite with you in NYC! Are you pretty much bi-coastal? Do you enjoy it?

Mina Sundwall: It was great to see you too! Yes, haha. I can’t pick :)

Bare: Fill us in on all things God of War Ragnarok! And your role as Thrud...how was that experience?

MS: This is my first time doing a video game, and after months of not knowing what to expect the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

The MoCap was a bit of a learning curve, and because the game plays as a continuous take, without cuts, the capture process is set up to get each scene in its entirety. It creates an interesting hybrid between film and theatre that I hadn’t anticipated. You have to be conscious of where the camera is while also playing on a stage and not being limited by coverage or the frame. It frees you up. And of course its super cool and weird to see a character with my face.

Bare: Aside from acting what would you put top on your list of creative endeavors and passions?

MS: I have always wanted to write and direct. I’ve been lucky to have some time to explore it (and ask everyone in my life seven million questions). When you’re acting, though there’s a lot about the character that you can control, there’s a world that exists beyond you. You are always guided by someone who has a larger sense of the arc of the story. That world really excites me. And it has been a lot of fun getting the chance to explore it and learn the countless ways you can build a story to make people feel something.

Bare: Can you describe your dream TV or film role?

MS: I love the strange and unusual. The weirder the better. I would love to be part of a complicated, messy story in the Delicatessen, Brazil, Titane, Killing of a Sacred Deer world of projects. I’m always drawn to characters that are complicated personalities, non-stereotypical, sometimes flawed but with a heart. I saw Pearl this year and I loved it.

Bare: We want your secret to that flawless skin of yours! Please share any tips and products.

MS: Hahaha, thank you. I wish I was able to commit to a 10-step routine with multiple cleansers and potions and things but in reality I see a big difference when I consistently drink a lot of water, keep my skin clean (I don’t typically wear a lot of makeup), and use an oil that will keep it hydrated even in the winter.

Bare: You normally don't wear much makeup - did you enjoy getting dolled up w makeup and accessories on our shoot?

MS: I did! I always have fun playing around with different looks.

Bare: With 2023 right around the corner do you have any goals/wishes you can share for the new year?

MS: Every year I tell myself I’m going to do yoga and meditate everyday… maybe this year it will be true.
